Community Involvement Information - Graduation Requirement

The community involvement requirement for graduation has reverted back to most pre-COVID-19 rules.

Students must complete 40 hours of community involvement while in high school as part of the requirements for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Graduating students must complete their 40 hours of community involvement hours a few weeks before the end of June to allow for approval by the principal. Volunteer hours that are not approved will not count for graduation requirements. If you are unsure, check with the principal to ensure your hours will be approved before completing the hours.

Please hand in your completed community involvement sheet in Student Services.  If you have questions regarding an upcoming opportunity, please see your guidance counsellor.

Students may also continue to count 10 hours of paid employment towards their community involvement hours. A reflection sheet, found below must be completed by the student and signed by the principal.
